Terms of Use

Last updated: July 7, 2026 · Draft — review by counsel before public launch.

1. What FindAnybody is — and is not

FindAnybody helps you locate publicly available contact information for a person you already have partial information about. It aggregates and cross-references public web sources and third-party data providers. FindAnybody is not a consumer reporting agency, and the information we provide is not a “consumer report” under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq.

2. Prohibited uses

You may NOT use FindAnybody, in whole or in part, for any purpose covered by the FCRA or any similar law. Specifically, you may not use it to make decisions about:
  • Employment, promotion, reassignment, or retention (employment screening);
  • Credit or insurance eligibility, terms, or pricing;
  • Tenant or housing screening;
  • Debt collection;
  • Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA or comparable state law.
You also may not use FindAnybody to harass, stalk, intimidate, or harm any person, or in violation of any anti-discrimination law.

3. Permitted use

FindAnybody is intended for personal, non-commercial purposes such as reconnecting with people you know, verifying a business contact, or personal genealogy research. You must select a lawful purpose before each search; that selection is logged.

4. Accuracy

Data comes from third parties and public sources and may be incomplete or out of date. We show cross-reference confidence and citations so you can judge reliability, but we do not guarantee accuracy and you may not rely on it for any decision listed in Section 2.

5. Removal rights

Any person may remove their information at /optout. California residents also have rights described in our Privacy Policy and Do Not Sell notice.

6. No minors; protected individuals

We do not knowingly provide information about individuals under 18, and we block certain protected roles (e.g., specified law-enforcement and judicial personnel). If you believe a listing should be blocked, contact us.

7. Limitation of liability

FindAnybody is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service or reliance on its results.
